Duffy Pastore has been involved in the Plumbing and Heating Supply industry since 1974. At the age of 18, he began as a truck driver for a New Jersey shore area supply house. As he worked his way up through the industry and within the varying structures of small local and large multi-branch organizations, he observed what aspects of the business were handled well—and what weren’t.

 

The experience he gained through this exposure and interaction led Duffy to achieve many upper-level and branch management positions with some of the premier supply houses in the New Jersey metro area. He was involved in all aspects of sales, management, and operations, and along the way, he mentally catalogued what worked and what didn’t.

 

In 1999, he purchased Somerset Supply Company from the family that had owned it since 1921. As sole stockholder, Duffy brings over 50 years of experience to Somerset’s strong and reputable presence in the local community and marketplace. With a background in business, economics, and finance, he laid the foundation for the growth and success of the “new” Somerset Supply.

 

What stands today is a monument to the industry that Duffy loves. In today’s challenging economic environment, Duffy and Somerset are determined to exceed expectations every day. Customer understanding and service are at the core of what Somerset does well.
